Nothing new and exciting here, just us.

Caylin wanted to dress up as Dora, so this is the ensemble she came up with. She then asked me for a life jacket to put in her backpack (we never did figure anything out).

Caylin had to be sure they both had their hoods on at all times. Bree didn't like it at first, but then gave up the fight.

Bree thinks she's so big drinking her Capri Sun with all the kids!
Caylin got to run me to the finish line in my race. She thought that was pretty neat!

Bree's Birthday

One year ago we welcomed this little joy into our lives. She really has brought us so much joy and I can't really imagine life without my little Bree. She is a little thing (only 16 pounds!), but don't let that fool you - she LOVES to eat, and will eat until you stop feeding her. The only thing she won't eat so far is chicken nuggets, which is a bit funny because that is really the only thing Caylin will eat. Bree has the most piercingly blue eyes that light up the room and is the first thing everyone is drawn to. She is so happy all the time and is so content. Caylin is her role model and she wants to be big like her big sister. Bree has learned to sing into a microphone and dance by watching her big sister. I can't get enough of this little girl and can't believe she is really one now!

This is how she ate her breakfast (minus the binky, of course!). She loves balloons and had to have them as soon as she woke up

We went and ate lunch at the farm with Mimi, and Bree couldn't get enough of the animals

I just love her!

Showcasing some of her prizes. Caylin had to get her doll and stroller too, and Bree just followed her around forever just giggling

yummy cake!

Caylin's first day of Preschool!

Caylin has been so excited to start school, and could hardly contain herself this morning as she got ready. I can't believe she is big enough for this, but am so excited to see her learn and make new friends. It's going to be nice to get some one-on-one time with Bree as well while she's gone, but I'm going to miss my little girl too! This morning as I was driving her to school I told her I was a little sad because she was getting so big. She said, "It's okay mom, don't cry!"

Hello!!!

Yes, we are still alive, and contrary to what you all might be thinking, we have not been off to exotic vacations or any vacations for that matter. We have been taking it pretty easy around here, I guess maybe too easy since I haven't done anything here for nearly four months! I can't believe that summer is nearly over and next week my big girl will actually start preschool, and then the week after that my other big girl will turn one! Time just goes too fast. I love these two little girls and enjoy every moment, whether we're playing around or taming tantrums.

Lagoon

Good old Lagoon. Once Caylin got over her initial fear, she got pretty excited to go on most of the kiddie rides. We had fun, and Bree even got in on the action.

Bree was really enjoying it, despite nearly being choked to death!

To say Colby has an obsession with the carnival games would be an understatement. He won three more bears and another elephant before the night was over!

Bree

I couldn't do a photo shoot for Caylin without doing one for Bree also. I can't believe she is almost eight months! She is a petite little thing, but she sure gets her share to eat, and is starting to really get around also. She is such a joy and is my sanity when Caylin gives me attitude! I love this little girl!

Caylin

I took some pictures of Caylin the other day for her third birthday. I am so happy with how they turned out. It makes me so proud to look at her and realize how much she's grown up.

Happy Birthday Caylin!

I hate that this is a late post, but I am just glad I got around to doing it before too long. I can't believe that my little buddy is three years old. She has changed my life forever in ways I'm sure I don't even appreciate yet. She was the happiest little baby and has grown into a spunky toddler with lots of personality and a definite opinion of everything. She is so smart and amazes me every day. Just recently she has picked up left hand and right hand, and I'm not completely sure where from, but she can tell you which one is which. Caylin loves chocolate milk and pop tarts at the moment, but is still a pretty horrible eater. She stands her ground when she does not want something to eat and is willing to give up basically anything and everything as long as she doesn't have to eat what she doesn't want to. Today Caylin ran around all day as "Purple Timkerbell" and has a very vivid imagination. She loves princesses and everything girly. I love her so much, even through the stubborness and am so proud to be her mommy. Happy Birthday Caylin!

I look at this picture and cringe, but am reminded that she wasn't easy from the get go - those 70 pounds took a lot of work to get off (but so worth it)!

my little princess

now my big princess

Caylin was spoiled this weekend with lots of princess things. We had a family party Sunday night and she had a party with her little neighborhood friends on Monday.

Caylin with daddy's old Cabbage Patch Doll that is now hers

Caylin got "running clothes" from Grandma Jill and Papa Fred and that was the first thing she wanted to put on when she woke up on her birthday.

Daddy took her on a special "date" to get breakfast at McDonald's

Snow White ready for her princess party with her friends

all the princesses and their knight in shining armor (Caylin's little boyfriend who she has already kissed under the Christmas tree!)

Caylin and cousin Haley watching Cinderella after the party

Caylin chose where we went for dinner that night - no surprise she picked "Old McDonald's" for chicken dinos. She even got an ice cream cone afterwards!

I love you!
