Bree's Blessing

We blessed Bree last Sunday, and she looked beautiful and her daddy did a wonderful job. It was so great to have so many family members there for her. It was a great day and I love my little girl so much!

Trying to show off the whole dress. This was Caylin's as well, and I absolutely love it!

I took my camera, but I forgot to take any pictures until almost everyone had gone. I felt so bad because I did the same thing at Caylin's blessing!

Halloween Preview

Tonight my parents' ward had their annual Halloween party, so the girls got to get all dressed up in their costumes. Caylin was so excited all day to wear her Snow White costume and her new headband and danced around like a princess when she finally got all dressed up.

I was done taking pictures, then Caylin said, "But mom, we're holding hands!"

this was Caylin's favorite game-Halloween Twister. She had a hard time trying to figure out to put a foot or a hand on the squares, so she just jumped from color to color when they said it.

8 weeks

Seriously, where have the past 8 weeks gone? I can't believe my little Bree is already almost two months old. She is such a good baby, and actually has slept through the night the past two nights (I probably just jinxed myself, but we'll see!). Her little personality is starting to come out, and she is so happy and smiley. I can't imagine not having her here and she is such a joy.

I know, not the cutest picture, but it made me laugh so hard when
I pulled it up that I had to share

Words of Wisdom

Yesterday as we were driving in the car, Caylin profoundly says from the back seat, "Daddy, Bree isn't in mommy's tummy - she's in her carseat!"

The other day I was on the phone with Colby and when I was done Caylin asked who I had been talking to. I told her it was daddy, and then she sat for a minute and said, "Daddy, I like that name!"

She was telling me something this morning and I told her it was a good idea. She left and came back a few seconds later and said, "I didn't say is that a good idea! Is that a good idea? Silly!" (She always asks now if things are a good idea!)

I just love hearing what she comes up with in her little mind!

My little lamb

This is my little lamb. Bree is so loud when she is falling asleep or waking up, and she makes the funniest little sound that makes me laugh so hard. She can sound just like a little lamb and she does it all the time! I am so happy to have her here and she is such a good little girl. So far being a mother of two isn't too bad, but I guess it can't be that bad when one sleeps the majority of the day! I can't believe she is almost three weeks old and just how fast time really goes by. She makes all those pains of labor definitely worth it!

Sisters

Caylin has been so cute with her little sister. I was a little worried to see how she would react, and I have been pleasantly surprised so far. She loves to hold her, and when Bree cries, Caylin usually breaks out in song to console her. When Caylin wakes up in the morning and I go in to get her, she asks, "Where's Bree?" if I don't have her. I love having two little girls and can't wait to see how they grow up to become best friends.

My little mermaid

After Caylin's bath last night she went into the kitchen, got a fork and began "combing" her hair, just like Ariel.

Introducing . . .

BREE

Bree was born Monday at 7:59 pm weighing 6 lbs. 15 oz. and measuring 20.5 inches long. I'll just say delivery this time was not without a challenge, but a different sort of challenge than with Caylin. My epidural worked for about 10 minutes, then wore off completely, and there wasn't time for another one, so Bree was born naturally. She is beautiful and Caylin is so excited about her little sister.
