Caylin's new toy

Everytime we go to Wal-Mart Caylin has to stop at the bike aisle and ride bikes (or scooters) for a while before we can leave. I have wanted to get her something for a while now, but since we don't really have anywhere to store it, I haven't. Now that the weather is finally warm and we will hopefully be moving into a house in the near future, we decided to get her something. She can barely see over the handlebars, but she can do it, and it is one of the cutest things to watch!

Disneyland

Disneyland was so much fun, and it was so fun to see Caylin experience everything, although she cried on nearly every ride and for nearly every character. She did get braver as the day went on, but not by much. She had fun all week with all her cousins and getting lots of attention, and experiencing so many new things.

Thanks to Creed's IPod for entertaining her a bit on the plane!

I was so worried about naps, but she managed to sneak one in (thank goodness!)

breakthrough!

she stood next to Goofy and said "Hi!" and was fine until he looked down at her, then she started crying

why steal just mommy's ice cream when you can have daddy's too?!

she was a little unsure about the parade - clapping and laughing one minute, then crying and covering her ears the next!

Thanks Grandma Jill and Papa Fred for a fun trip!

California Adventure

We did California Adventures on Wednesday, and I was hoping that Caylin had mostly gotten over her fear of large characters. At first she was unsure of Mickey, but you can see that after a bit she actually gave him a hug and wasn't too scared of Pluto. It was so fun to watch her with these guys because you never knew how she was going to react. Her favorite part of the day was the water park in Bug's Life and she got soaked! She also loved the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show, and I wish I had taken a video camera to show how into it she got. She was singing along with all the characters and pointing out everything. By the end of the day she was spent, and the next morning we had a hard time waking her up!

Sea World

I was so excited to go to Sea World, and after seeing Caylin with the rides and characters, I thought she might enjoy it just a bit more. She loved watching all the animals and the shows, but I think her favorite part of the day was the playground and ice cream! Go figure!

The Beach

Unfortunately, the day we went to the beach it was a little chilly and not at all sunny. Despite the weather, Caylin loved the beach, although she only got her feet wet. She loved digging in the sand and eating Cheetos with Papa Fred.

We're Off!

We're off for a week long, much needed, vacation to Cali! I am so excited to see Caylin at Disneyland tomorrow, but also very curious to see how she'll react to all the characters. She had a fit at the ReAl game last week when the lion got closer than half field to us, so having lots of characters like that all over might be a bit overwhelming. Anyway, hopefully I'll return with a little sun and a lot of relaxation (but I'm not betting too much on the second one!). Until next week . . .

Stop talking

We were driving in the car the other day and Colby and I were having a conversation. Out of the back seat we hear, "Stop talking. Just stop talking." I turned around and told Caylin that that was not a polite thing to say, and to that she responded with, "Keep talking daddy!"

This is my little sister

The other day I came out to find Caylin situated like this. No TV on, nothing, just chillin' with Baby Stella under the blanket. I asked her if I could take their picture and she started saying, "This is my little sister!" It caught me off guard and it almost made me start to cry! It made me think that maybe she is starting to realize what is going on!
