Bree

I totally forgot to post Bree's one year pictures that my fabulous sister-in-law took for me. I absolutely am in love with these and Bree's little personality really comes out!

Happy Birthday Mimi!

Happy Birthday Mimi! We love you and are so grateful for everything you do. You are such a great example of love and service to others and we are lucky to have you a part of our lives!

We were lucky enough to spend the day with Mimi. We went to lunch and to the aquarium to see the fish. We went to dinner tonight with the family (minus Chris) at the Olive Garden. Then we came back to our house for cake and ice cream (Caylin said we had to make a chocolate cake and put sprinkles on it for "Just the right touch"). Mimi had a lot of help blowing out the candles. Caylin insisted there be five candles: blue, pink and white. When she saw two blue, two pink and only one white, she then wanted another white one added. Lucky Mimi, you turned six today!

This little one thinks she is so big now that she is walking all over the place. She is still in "zombie" mode, where she walks around with her hands out in front of her (except when they're full of other things), and I think it is so cute!

Caylin didn't feel too well, so Colby "volunteered" to lay with her on our bed. I don't know who was out first!

We love you Mimi!

Silver Lake

This week for family night we went with Mimi, Papa and Chris up to Silver Lake. It was beautiful up there, but I underestimated how freezing cold it would be (it was in the 40's)! We made it down to the little dock, fed the ducks, and headed back to the heater in the car!

Caylin feeding the ducks

so I wasn't expecting to feed the ducks, so I scrounged around in the diaper bag and came up with some crackers and a package of Pop Tarts. One Pop Tart was fed to the ducks and as you can see, Caylin and Colby fought it out for the other!

St. George

We were finally able to go down to St. George last weekend with Colby's parents and Tyler, Melanie and Tyson. It was such a needed getaway and we had a lot of fun. Friday morning the girls took the kids to a park while the guys got in a round of golf before it got really hot.

We got to go swimming on Saturday. Bree is showing off her new ballerina swimsuit
and is so proud that she is walking!

Randoms

Nothing new and exciting here, just us.

Caylin wanted to dress up as Dora, so this is the ensemble she came up with. She then asked me for a life jacket to put in her backpack (we never did figure anything out).

Caylin had to be sure they both had their hoods on at all times. Bree didn't like it at first, but then gave up the fight.

Bree thinks she's so big drinking her Capri Sun with all the kids!
Caylin got to run me to the finish line in my race. She thought that was pretty neat!

Bree's Birthday

One year ago we welcomed this little joy into our lives. She really has brought us so much joy and I can't really imagine life without my little Bree. She is a little thing (only 16 pounds!), but don't let that fool you - she LOVES to eat, and will eat until you stop feeding her. The only thing she won't eat so far is chicken nuggets, which is a bit funny because that is really the only thing Caylin will eat. Bree has the most piercingly blue eyes that light up the room and is the first thing everyone is drawn to. She is so happy all the time and is so content. Caylin is her role model and she wants to be big like her big sister. Bree has learned to sing into a microphone and dance by watching her big sister. I can't get enough of this little girl and can't believe she is really one now!

This is how she ate her breakfast (minus the binky, of course!). She loves balloons and had to have them as soon as she woke up

We went and ate lunch at the farm with Mimi, and Bree couldn't get enough of the animals

I just love her!

yummy cake!
